Incredible but true, the Medal moves up...

It probably escaped everyone's attention who was too busy looking at the top of the table but Alex Robertson is on the march.

Whipping boys Abercromby's Medal have actually won a couple of games to drag themselves off the bottom of the table. A star performance by former Ranger Carlos Cuellar gave him a resounding win over the in-form Doonhamers this week.

And to think he still tries to pretend he is a St Mirren fan!

Other impressive points hauls came from Joe Bhoy FC, the Lockerbie Legends and Team Ramrod - although this last team made no progress due to meeting the high-flying Legends.

It all leaves nine teams within six points of the top of the table. A vindication for the thrilling new system imposed on the GKL this year.

In Serie B, not much has altered as Steve Fitzpatrick, Kieran Westbrook, David Wynn and Dr Khrem sit in the four promotion places. However, there is enough quality in the division to suggest that they could still be toppled in the weeks ahead.

Enjoy the international break, everyone, but don't forget to keep studying the injury lists...
